What is included in your fee?
Along with the peace of mind you get having a DJ with over 40 years’ professional experience, you’ll also get a top-of-the-range, modern, sound and lighting package which is all new for 2022. My (frankly) huge library contains music from the last 6 decades so there’s a song for every event! You’ll get a worry-free party for your special day or event based on your wants and needs.
During most parties I’m asked to stay late and run on for a little bit longer. Depending on you and the venue I’m always happy to continue for a small additional fee charged by the hour. We would usually agree this on the day.
Can we meet with you?
Of course! I can meet you at your home, place of work or venue if you prefer. This will give us the opportunity to meet prior to your event and discuss any requirements you have.
How will I pay you?
For peace of mind, both yours and mine, I’ll request a booking fee to secure your booking. The balance will be due two weeks prior to your booking date and can be made via Bank Transfer.
Can you recommend a great wedding venue?
I get asked this a lot. I've put together a page with many of the best wedding venues popular with Brides and Grooms in and around Essex.
I’ve just been quoted £175 by another disco can you match that?
Whilst I try to DJ for most budgets, it's impossible to match that, and it really is impossible to find a great DJ for £175.
If your budget is £175, I'd suggest putting the budget into your venue and getting one with a speaker system prebuilt in. Then get yourself a month's subscription to ad-free Spotify and check out one of my many free playlists. Every budget deserves a party! 🥳
Can I choose the music that you play?
Yes, absolutely, it's your party! I have a form for you, for both music you love and hate, and I'll use that to get a better idea of what music to play at your event.
How much does your disco cost?
As each event is different, I do not have a ‘fixed’ price list on the website. I prefer to discuss your individual requirements before I provide you with a price which more accurately reflects your personal event. However, on average prices start from £395 with the average cost including some upgrades around £545.
How do I book you?
Following the initial conversation or completing the Quote page on this website where details are obtained and a personalised quote has been provided and agreed, I'll send you two copies of a confirmation which sets out the details discussed. This'll need to be checked by you, and if everything is in order, I'll have you sign a copy and return this to my address. Once returned, this date is guaranteed to be secured for you. Information regarding cancellation fees can be found on the ‘Special Stipulation’ sheet which is also enclosed.
With the Coronavirus as it is I'm being extra flexible to ensure you're not left out of pocket should the government guidance change.
Is your music legal?
Absolutely! My music is purchased from DJ legal sites such as 'MastermixDJ' https://mastermixdj.com/ and 'Promo only' https://www.promoonly.co.uk/ supplying music for DJs to legally use. ProDub is a license issued in the UK by PRS for Music, which governs the copying of music from any format to a digital format. For example, if a DJ copies CDs to a hard drive in order to play them using a laptop. Or changing the format of a downloaded track. Or changing the structure of a digital file in any way. I understand the remit of the license and understand how to manage digital music collections. Please request to see the sight of my ProDub license where necessary.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes. This covers the cost of claims made against my business by a client or a member of the public, should it have resulted in injury or property damage. Public liability is a requirement of many venues these days and has the potential to benefit the future of our business, opening it up to new opportunities where an organisation or trading authority may require a certain level of public insurance in place.
Do you have Electrical Equipment Testing (PATs testing) on your equipment?
Yes. For the safety of hirers, clients, their guests, venue staff and our road crew. Electrical Equipment Testing (PATs) involves a visual inspection of the equipment and any flexible cables for good condition, and where required, verification of earthing (grounding) continuity, and a test of the soundness of insulation between the current-carrying parts, and any exposed metal that may be touched. The formal limits for pass/fail of these electrical tests vary depending on the category of equipment being tested.
Do you need an experienced DJ?
